Restful Sleep

Restful Sleep

We all long for it and dream about it.....or at least day-dream about it. As a baby you spent hours upon hours in restful sleep, and as the days ticked on your body grew and developed and everything fell into place.  Let’s reiterate that...sleep is what you did the MOST as a baby and it's when the most significant changes were experienced.  This also holds true as an adult.  Sleep provides the body time to repair and rejuvenate so the days ahead can be filled with healthy beginnings. Sleep is one of the most important health habits you can have and yet it alludes most people on a consistent basis, just because....

For years I absolutely could not fall asleep in less than two hours. I envied all of those who could close their eyes and be out like a light. I don't care if they snored, slept with their mouth open or drooled, anything could have been better than having a racing mind, tossing and turning, and hopefully waiting for the joy of drifting off to sleep.  Much like most of you, I had tried everything in the book. Let’s see... black out shades, drinking warm milk, chamomile tea, ocean sounds, lavender oil, working out, meditation, and counting sheep.

Sleep affects almost every type of tissue and system in the body – from the brain, heart, and lungs to metabolism, immune function, mood, and disease resistance.  Research shows that a chronic lack of sleep, or getting poor quality sleep, increases the risk of disorders including high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, depression, low energy, moodiness and obesity.

Chemical signals to sleep

Clusters of sleep-promoting neurons in many parts of the brain become more active as we get ready for bed.  Nerve-signaling chemicals called neurotransmitters can “switch off” or dampen the activity of cells that signal arousal or relaxation.  GABA is associated with sleep, muscle relaxation, and sedation.  It is an inhibitory neurotransmitter that reduces feelings of fear and anxiety and benefits conditions associated with helping depression, ADHD, insomnia, anxiety, inflammation and premenstrual syndrome.

At Health Beyond Hype we realized turning off the brain at night is a challenge and that is why we built our Relax product to activate GABA receptors and increase its production.  What makes this formula even more unique is the CBD component which activates the signaling pathways making it more efficient and effective.  This formula gives you the added help you need in finding your "happy place" whether you need a good night's sleep or just to stay calm and carry on.

Don't rob your body of another night of this healthy habit.  It's time to take charge or your future and give your body the help it needs in supporting your dreams and goals.
